Kinbaku Foundations: Mastering Column Ties
This event is open to non-members.
Our beginner shibari class series, offered monthly for 3 months, is designed to refine your shibari practice. Participants will acquire essential skills and knowledge to create stunning and dynamic shibari scenes. Each session focuses on mastering foundational techniques, allowing you to craft unique rope experiences. As you progress, we'll explore various ties that build upon one another, enhancing your repertoire and boosting your confidence in executing sensual bondage scenes.
We suggest that you take all 3 classes, but you can buy tickets to the classes individually if you’d like.
Lesson 1: Mastering Column Ties
October's lesson focuses on mastering the single column tie and its various adaptations, providing a solid foundation for advancing techniques. Participants will explore the intricacies of adding on columns. The lesson will also cover tying on, which is essential for maintaining structure and flow. Further, students will learn about hojo cuffs, and the use of double column ties. This is the foundation of Kinbaku style stying.

Please wear (discreet) street clothes when arriving to the studio. Once inside the studio, feel free to wear whatever you are most comfortable in. Stretchy and form fitting, especially for rope bottoms, is suggested.

Lip-Locked Game Rules:
At the beginning of the night you will be given one kissing card with your name on it. If there is someone that you want to kiss, walk up to our host, hand her your card and whisper in her ear who you would like to kiss. Our host will deliver your kissing card to the person you pointed out. If they would prefer not to be kissed by you (or at all), your kissing card will be returned to you.
If they accept your kissing card, they’ll need to return it to you personally—and with it, initiate a kiss. The style of kiss is entirely up to them. It could be a sweet peck on the cheek or a soft brush of the lips. Maybe they’ll tease, hovering close until you’re practically growling with anticipation, and when their lips finally meet yours, a passionate make-out session might unfold. Remember, though, you can only initiate a kiss if someone hands you their kissing card first.

Photo + Phone Policy
Photos & phone-calls are not allowed. Be present. Please leave your shoes and phone in a cubby by the door. Many of our members require a discreet environment.
A designated photographer will subtly be taking some videos and photos. If you do not want photos taken, we will give you a wrist band to make it easy for our photographer to avoid getting you in shot.
