Our beginner shibari class series, offered once per month for 3 months, is designed to refine your shibari practice. Participants will acquire essential skills and knowledge to create stunning and dynamic shibari scenes. Each session focuses on mastering foundational techniques, allowing you to craft unique rope experiences. As you progress, we'll explore various ties that build upon one another, enhancing your repertoire and boosting your confidence in executing sensual bondage scenes. By the end of the series, you will possess the tools to create any kind of rope scene your heart desires.
We suggest that you take all 3 classes, but you can buy tickets to the classes individually if you’d like.
Lesson 2: Basic Harnesses & Tying Organically
November's Shibari workshop will focus on the fundamentals of basic harnesses and the art of creating organically led ties. Participants will learn essential techniques to craft functional and aesthetically pleasing harnesses, emphasizing the importance of body awareness and communication. Through hands-on practice, attendees will explore the dynamics of tension and flow, gaining insight into the rhythm of collaboration with their partner. This workshop is designed for individuals of all skill levels, fostering a safe and supportive environment for the exploration of Shibari as a form of artistic expression and connection.

What to wear:
Please wear (discreet) street clothes when arriving to the studio. Once inside the studio, feel free to wear whatever you are most comfortable in. Stretchy and form fitting, especially for rope bottoms, is suggested.
What to bring:
We will have some rope available to use, but please bring your own kits.
Location:
The Nylon House studio is in Wynwood. Exact location will be shared when tickets are purchased.
